Giving Away 3 Domains for Free
It’s time for me to clean up my domain portfolio, and I’m giving away three domains for free. If you want one, all you need to do is add a comment telling me what you are going to do with it. First come, first serve. One domain per person.
- blproxy.com (Expires 2008-04-12): A domain I bought recently as an impulse on Godaddy. I was going to create a proxy called Bruce Lee Proxy, I even did the layout, but then decided to move away from proxies. Free push to Godaddy account.
- the-gaia-project.com (Expires 2007-09-28): One of my first domains, the project was ditched. It’s on Wild West Domains, a Godaddy reseller. I have no idea how to push it for free, if you do, tell me. If not, you are responsible for the transfer cost.
- safelyhidden.com (Expires 2008-03-08): A proxy domain no longer in use. Also on Wild West domains.
Please take one only if you are going to use it. It’s not for parking or reselling.

I really feel like Safelyhidden.com could be used creatively…just not sure how…
Why did you buy that one in the first place?

I would be interested to know how to set up the site using proxies and if you can earn any income from it?
I know http://www.kingnomar.com may be still working with proxy I will let him know too.

Hey there Carl,
I’m a travel enthusiast and have been tossing about the idea of starting a webpage about great travel destinations off the beaten path. I think safelyhidden.com would be a great domain for that, plus having a good domain would kick my butt into gear on development. As to transfer I get cheap transfer with my current server and can easily handle that. (I actually leave tomorrow on my biggest US road trip to date, a 8000 mile+ trip across the states, but I’ll be online the whole way)
Thanks!
Kyle

Dave - Does that mean that you want it?
Stephen - Most proxies are made using the PHP Proxy script and can easily generate $1-5 USD a day. I’m thinking of sitting down and writing a complete guide on how to setup, promote and maintain a proxy website. I see many people doing it wrong. With proper configuration, it doesn’t need to be a resource hog.
Kyle - Since it’s first come first serve Dave can choose whether or not to have it. In the meantime, feel free to reserve another.

Hey Carl
I would be interested in blproxy.com.
I’ve never made a proxy before and would be really interested in trying to install the script as you suggested and monetizing it - would also love to hear some advice about maintaining one without it using loads of my server bandwidth.
Thanks mate, and would u be able to push to Namecheap?

I did kind of want it but it sounds like Kyle is more competent at this sort of thing. Since I have no idea how to design a webpage, please give Kyle first dibs
Thanks Carl!

well Dave, thank you for your generosity. Would you like to learn? Since you decided to give up your stake to it, would you like to partner with me?

Carl, let me know if you want some help putting together the book. I’ll do a proof read with you and or help you in anyway possible. Will be a great opportunity to learn for me.
Don’t wait though. Get on that puppy! I don’t want it to be a resource sucker and I have alot of people in some area’s where they NEED that to surf.
